I Value Care

With an aging population, it’s more important than ever that elected officials ensure quality affordable care for vulnerable seniors and people with disabilities. Our communities are facing a care crisis – budget cuts have cut services for seniors and people with disabilities and put their quality of care at risk. Tens of thousands of caregivers live in poverty. And our state is unprepared for the aging boom that will double the number of seniors needing care over the next twenty years.

I pledge to vote for candidates who:

  • Oppose cuts to long-term care that put the quality of care for vulnerable residents at risk
  • Support quality training for long-term care workers to ensure quality care and protect the most vulnerable
  • Support lifting caregivers out of poverty and creating a stable workforce to care for the growing senior population in our state
  • Support ensuring access to affordable long-term care services for all seniors and people with disabilities
